Thompson Forensic Advisory Services was established in response to repeated, observable gaps in how individuals are supported within complex justice and administrative systems. Throughout my professional experience, I consistently observed situations in which individuals were disadvantaged not due to lack of credibility or merit, but because they were unfamiliar with their rights, uncertain about procedural boundaries, or lacked structured support when confronting individuals or institutions with greater authority. I witnessed cases in which formal processes failed to produce equitable outcomes due to procedural requirements rather than evidentiary clarity, underscoring how system design can unintentionally disadvantage those without adequate guidance. These observations were reinforced by my own experience navigating institutional processes, where understanding scope, limits, and safeguards proved critical to preventing further harm. Upon transitioning from military service, I founded TFAS to address these systemic gaps by providing ethical, non-clinical advisory support focused on clarity, education, and stabilization ensuring individuals are better equipped to engage systems informed, supported, and prepared.

While therapy focuses on diagnosis, treatment, and emotional processing and legal services provide representation or legal counsel, TFAS provides trauma-informed, evidence-informed, and structured advisory support aimed at stabilization, education, and system navigation. The work centers on helping individuals regulate stress, understand procedural landscapes, and make informed decisions without providing clinical treatment, legal advice, or crisis intervention.
